Detective Awesomepants

Description

Detective Awesomepants was made for Ludum Dare 27, a game jam event that gives participants 48 hours to make a game based off a theme. The theme for this jam was ‘10 Seconds’. I designed a crime solving game where the player is given only 10 seconds to survey the scene and then must come to a decision about who did it.

Out of over 2000 submissions my game placed in the following rankings:

• 3rd in Humor
• 7th in Overall
• 16th in Theme
• 19th in Fun
• 43rd in Graphics
• 45th in Mood
• 93rd in Innovation

My Role

Across 2 days I:

• Concepted and designed the game
• Created 5 unique cases for for the player to solve
• Programmed the game in AS3 using the Flash Builder IDE
• Created all art inside Pyxel Edit
• Animated backgrounds and other elements in Flash
• Generated SFX using SFXr
• Generated Music using Autotracker
